You could be eligible to receive a basic fitness membership where you can enjoy a specialized low-impact SilverSneakers Classes focusing on improving muscular strength and endurance, mobility, flexibility, range of motion, balance, agility and coordination. Certified SilverSneakers instructors teach classes at the Regional Family YMCA and at participating fitness centers. Members can also enjoy the fitness center, group exercise classes and special events.

SilverSneakers Classes
On Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 1:00pm we offer:
Muscular Strength & Range of Movement, Healthway’s core class designed to increase strength, range of movement, agility, balance, coordination and improve participants’ functional capacities, physical fitness level and sense of well being. This class is presented with a chair for seated and standing choreography with hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball.

On Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 8:45am we offer:
Cardio Circuit, Healthway’s advanced class for students who have expressed a desire for more cardiovascular and muscular endurance conditioning and have demonstrated above baseline proficiencies in agility, balance and coordination. Cardio Circuit is designed to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance with standing non-impact choreography alternated with standing upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and s SilverSneakers ball.

On Wednesdays at 11:45am we offer:
SilverSneakers Yoga Stretch is a blend of three Yoga styles creating harmony of movement for the whole body. Yoga Stretch is performed from a seated and standing position to enhance the flow and energy created in combination with restorative breathing exercise. The class offers a variety of safe and effective options designed to increase flexibility and balance to improve each individual’s sense of well being.

Along with exercise we have social activities like; monthly Lunch and Learn, informational speakers and bus trips to shows, casinos, Pittsburgh, Washington DC and Lancaster.
